Individual Counseling
There are moments in life when the weight feels heavier than normal. When mornings feel harder to face, or nights are filled with restless thoughts that won’t quiet down. Anxiety hums in the background. Grief lingers like a shadow. Old wounds resurface, whispering stories you thought you’d long outgrown.
You may be navigating the ache of a breakup, the confusion of dating, or the quiet distance in a relationship you want so badly to feel close again. Maybe you’re adjusting to a new chapter you didn’t choose, or learning to live in a world that’s changed too quickly. Perhaps you love someone who’s struggling with addiction, and the weight of caring for them has taken a toll on you.
In therapy, we can slow everything down. We can gently explore the layers of your story—your fears, your grief, your hopes, your inner child who still longs to be seen. Through approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS), we can get to know all the parts of you—the ones that protect, the ones that ache, and the ones that still dream. With the help of cognitive behavioral therapy, we can better understand, challenge, and reframe negative thoughts that are holding us in patterns we wish to change.
You don’t have to move through this alone. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but it begins the moment you decide you’re ready to take the first step toward yourself. During our work together, my first priority is creating a safe and supportive space where you feel heard and understood. I’ll take time to learn about your story, your goals, and what matters most to you. From there, we’ll move at a pace that feels right—collaborating to uncover patterns, nurture self-compassion, and build tools that support lasting growth, healing, and deeper connection in your daily life.
Couples Counseling
We all go through seasons when our relationships feel harder than we imagined they would. Maybe you’re feeling frustrated, distant, or stuck in old patterns. Maybe stress, overwork, depression, or other personal struggles are getting in the way. Sometimes, the unhealed parts of us show up to protect us, which gets in the way with connecting with the person we love most. Whatever it is, you don’t have to face it alone.
Reaching out for help can feel daunting. You might wonder, What does it mean if we can’t figure this out on our own? or Is couples counseling only for relationships on the brink?
The truth is, counseling isn’t a sign that your relationship is failing. It’s a step toward protecting it. Research shows that evidence-based approaches, like the Gottman Method, can help couples heal emotional wounds, rebuild trust, and feel closer than ever.
If you’re ready to find your way back to each other, I’d be honored to walk that path with you. My area of expertise with couples has included:
Premarital or Preengagement Couples
Couples Where One or Both Partners are in Recovery
Couples Healing From Betrayals and Infidelity
Couples Struggling With Communication
Couples in the LGBTQ+ Community
Trauma Therapy
Trauma leaves its mark in ways we don’t always see- shaping how we think, feel, and move through the world. Sometimes it’s a single, life-changing event you’ll never forget. Other times, it’s the smaller hurts that build quietly over the years- moments that didn’t seem big at the time, but left you feeling unsafe, unseen, or unloved.
We often think of trauma only in terms of “Big T” events: accidents, assaults, major losses; but “Little T” traumas matter, too. The childhood where you had to grow up too soon. The years of criticism that chipped away at your self-worth. The slow erosion of safety in a relationship you trusted.
In therapy, we work gently, at your pace, to untangle the story your body and mind have been carrying. With approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS), we get to know the parts of you that have been protecting you all these years. Through Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), we address the painful thoughts and patterns that keep you stuck. With narrative therapy, we explore and reshape the story you tell yourself, so you can step into a new chapter that feels more like your own.
Healing from trauma isn’t about erasing the past. It’s about finding safety in the present, and reclaiming the parts of yourself that you thought were lost.
Substance Use & Addiction Recovery Support
Recovery isn’t just about stopping a behavior, it’s about rebuilding a life. It’s about finding stability, trust, and a sense of self again after months or years of feeling lost in the fog.
Sometimes you’re the one in recovery, learning how to navigate the ups and downs without losing yourself in old patterns. Other times, you’re the friend, partner, or family member, watching someone you love wrestle with addiction, unsure how to help without losing your own footing.
Substance use touches more than the person struggling; it ripples through relationships, families, and entire support systems. That’s why therapy can be a place for everyone affected. Whether you’re in recovery yourself, loving someone who is, or wanting to explore a harm reduction path that honors your needs and your safety.
Together, we can work on setting healthy boundaries, repairing relationships, tending to the grief and anger that often go unspoken, and strengthening the parts of you that want something more. Using approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing, and compassionate, nonjudgmental conversation, we’ll create space for every part of your story: the messy, the hopeful, and the in-between.
Recovery is rarely a straight line. But with the right support, you don’t have to walk it alone.
